Poor culture

Pros

Pay is good for a select number of individuals

Cons

Company with poor values (despite those communicated in internal memos which read well). Focus is quarterly to yearly at most. There is little sense of mission beyond that. The European business was built through a collective of city professionals wanting one last role. No common goal. No ambition to build something meaningful. Most want out but are locked in.

Bad place to work

Pros

This has been the worst place to work in my career. Avoid especially if you are a junior.

Cons

Pay is very low, no career progression, management in London is totally dependent on NY and really have no say.

Pros

Incredible culture and amazing people. Top investment bank. leading in numerous groups and industries (Healthcare, Industrials, etc...). As a junior analyst, you take a lot of responsibilities. Management respects work/life balance.

Cons

Nothing different to any other investment bank. Heavy workload and long hours, but nothing bad. Steap learning curve. Growing company so everyone is expected to work hard.
