Pros

Lots of autonomy and if you have the drive, everyone is more than willing to sit down with you and tell you what they do and how they do it.

Cons

Very little structure. You are given too much free time. Even if you are motivated and ready to learn. There could be better hours as well, but honestly, they aren't bad at all.

Pros

Depending on your group, your manager may let you work from home but it is not a supported policy unless in emergency situations.

Cons

If you are not a banker or not in a department that is valued by senior management you will get very little resources allocated to you and will get shafted when it comes time for bonuses.
