Pros

The bank is focused on private banking - which makes up 100% of the company's profits, instead of like 1% in other banking behemoths: ideal for job seekers with private banking ambition. Work-life balance is very good in general and people are friendly and helpful.

Cons

The pure private banking focus also means that it's not suitable for people with other banking ambitions (investment banking, exotic & rocket-science stuff.) Pay increment is not great. For locations outside HQ in Zurich, be mindful that decision-making in certain areas can be rather centralized/ culture can be Swiss-centric.

Pros

As usual the people, I worked in a great office where people did help you out when you asked and it had a good atmosphere for entrepreneurs

Cons

Management had clear favorites when awarding accts not based on merit or ability and almost rewarded failure. Much better when it was Merrill Lynch. They dont care about clients just revenue. Middle management are awful and the training for junior staff is non- existent.
