Pros

A good place to start your career. It offers a chance to see many different companies, in different industries. It's also good to have the brand name on your resume. You'll learn a lot about how to work with people through your job here. The vacation days are great: 25 days a year - that's hard to beat anywhere!

Cons

Sometime, office politic can be bothersome. The review process can be subjective as well. Also be aware that consulting schedule is unpredictable: long hours and high pressure on some days, normal and relax atmosphere on other days. The biggest downsides is that in certain group, staffs are not challenged enough.

Pros

If you are looking to start working at a big-4 firm KPMG is great if you are a self-starter, pro-active towards senior management in shaping your role and willing -as you should with any consultancy to work long hours. You will need to develop your internal network quickly and, if you do you can have a great time here.

Cons

KPMG's consultancy practice is being rebuilt -after KPMG sold its consulting practice to Atos- and it seems sometimes management is re-inventing the wheel. the partnership model inhibits global integration and career opportunities making the company very country focused. You have to create opportunities, the company won't do it for you...

Pros

Free food and drink, sometimes. Travel to interesting places, sometimes

Cons

Lack of skilled management, huge amounts of nepotism, archaic technology, internal politics, lack of any actual strategy (but much talk of one), there is no work life balance (its all work).
