Pros

- Good as stepping stone of career you want to build. - Some partners are approachable and friendly even if you are from different department. - The company tried to accommodate requests for benefits of employees.

Cons

- Excessive bureaucracy in IT Services Department. - Some of the leaders in the IT Services display ethical behaviours that contribute to workplace disruption and impede efforts to foster a culture of psychological safety. - Sky high workload for team members. - Some directors withhold necessary or critical project information, which can negatively impact project outcomes and contribute to project failure, Then swoops in as a hero for “fixing” the drowning project. - It’s a “stay but be silent” or “complain and leave” kind of culture in IT Services. - Real skilled and competitive employees are bullied in IT Services.

Pros

Flexible, a lot of different projects and ability to learn

Cons

Too much strict on promotions. Super complicated to grow if you perform better than your colleagues.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
