Pros

At Lidl, from the recruitment process which is very transparent to the induction and in-store training is just fantastic. The Induction programme was highly organised to the extent that train tickets and taxis were all pre-booked. The team in my store is just fantastic. The manager very awsome and friendly. Manager down to earth , does cleaning and sit on the till. You cant see this anywhere

Cons

Not known at the moment since iam highly impressed with things. I did not expect such an outstanding and systematic training

Pros

Most people will mention money as a pro with this company, which can be true if you have no actual Work experience. Positions here are on a flat scale meaning based on the position it's easy to tell how much money someone is making.

Cons

I've never been in an environment that was so belittling and manipulative in my entire life. Purchasing is absolutely one of the worst departments to be apart of or to work with. Most people in upper management do not have the knowledge or the experience for the current positions that they hold. Women are treated like pieces of meat and minorities are completely disregarded. As a company entering into a new country some respect should be shown to the employees who are not flown over from Europe. A lot of the issues are blamed on culture shock but the truth is they do not care to change or alter their inefficient corporate culture that eventually demotivates all employees (some sooner than later). High turnover can be expected due to growing pains in some instances, but that is not the case here. The high turnover is because most are miserable. Which is highly unfortunate considering that they haven't had much of a corporate operation here lasting more than 2 years.
