      Good company, Bad management

      Pros

      Good people, good pay, good work environment, people are friendly and helpful.

      Cons

      Communication is bad, most people including middle-management do not know what is going on in the company. Sometimes even Eng. Managers are not aware about company decisions. No long-term plan for teams on growth, nurture and retention. People leaving and layoffs are common. Onboarding in tech is not good - no proper plan for team building or buddy program. Lack of planning and vision and overall poor communication between management and employees.

      Toxic environment, over worked, under paid

      Pros

      Nice office Good benefit package starts on day 1

      Cons

      Moves at a fast pace things are changing so often no one can keep up Be prepared to work 45+ hour work weeks say goodbye to family and friends Management all have different answers everyone seems tense, unsure of themselves and uptight or the complete opposite overly confident and douchy Mainly men (white) not many women employed in sales A lot of employees smile in your face and then they go talk about you when your not in the room Super toxic don’t suggest anyone take a stab here Lightspeed already hit its peak and likely won’t rise again Don’t be fooled by the initial wow, you’ll be depressed and miserable daily

      Supportive, welcoming and conscientious culture. Interesting problem space. Was able to contribute early on.

      Some of the onboarding steps were a bit slow.
