Pros

The program is long term and stable. There are opportunities to perform stretch assignments and take on more work but overtime is generally not needed to complete work unless you look for it. Flex hours, 9 X 80 work schedule, and hybrid work allow for flexibility with family matters and appointments. The benefits are good and the company gives 3 weeks vacation and comp time.

Cons

The work can be monotonous working in a >60 year old government program. They are currently working towards digital transformation but many of the documents and programs are still very out of date.
