ESH is still trying to create a universal management system without purchasing one that works for auditing its various facilities--it's not working. Severe cuts and lay-offs in 2016 resulting in the sale of it's Information Systems Division(675 lay-offs) and projected 1500 lay-offs in 2016-17 within it's MST-Mission Systems & Training Division. If you get hired or work of Space Systems, you may still have a job in 2018. A serious disconnect between recruiting or talent acquisition and management creates a dysfunctional hiring process for candidates--you never really know where you are at or why/if you have not made the down-select. Salary-base for entry-level 3 ESH is 17% below national averages. There may be out-sourcing of SME ESH areas in the future. Not a safe place to play to launch a career and be there 10 years later....move on! Lots of dead wood at level 5/6 and above that is not Leadership material but got promoted anyway, who simply uses and then, discards talented ESH professionals. Sikorsky, who was purchased by Lockheed in 2016, had a mass exit of ESH Professionals in late 2015 and early 2016 voluntarily and will likely either move ESH people over from other sectors of LMCO or hire entry level but not Senior Staff. There's a hiring freeze in place for most non-essential skill sets in 2016.
