Pros

LM is the largest IT integrator, there is opportunity to grow, take on new assignments, work with key vendors in the IT community.

Cons

LM pay is not competitive with the market place, and we consistently loose great people to other companies due to poor pay.

Pros

work/life balance, good compensation, holiday shutdown, great benefits

Cons

takes a LONG time to move up, you see people being promoted just because they have gray hair, instead of promoting people who are young but work hard.

Interesting work, bad management

Pros

Work is interesting with many different areas

Cons

Performance rating system is bad. If you like to work and know how to do the work, they make you do all the work. However, your performance rating is decided by how much your mattrix manager like you personally. Compensation is based on market (totally BS), not based on company earning. You work hard and be productive for the company to make big profit. In return, you get little or no raise because many people have got pay cut and been out of work out there. If you dare to complain, we can replace you in no time. Promotions? Wait until the next Telecom bubble. Career development is plenty. You can choose to go with management or technical tracks. If you don't know how to do the work, go brown nosing and choose the management track. If you know how to do the work and are not good at brown nosing (these are ussually go together), choose the technical track and let them decide your faith. That is why majority of the managers only care about politics but the real work and the product.
