Name looks good on resume. Work is very secure with a long term contract. The work enviroment is non-threatening and work life balance can be good.

Cons

Many restrictions on work make completing tasks difficult. Limited access to the wider computing enviroment due to security restrictions. Systems support is below average. Pay has lagged the market

Pros

It's internationally recognized as a technologically advanced company. There's a huge variety of work available within the company that make changing jobs without changing company easy. It pays tremendous attention to work-life balance and promote an inclusive work environment. There's vast resources within the company, both people and facilities.

Cons

Organization and management not streamlined and efficient. Often there are many layers of management. While each layer needs to justfiy their existence, it often burdens the working level to support their request for information and hinders real work progress. Often find people who are unwilling to accept new responsibilities and stay passive in work attitude. No intiative.

Pros

Good place for those starting out a career with some flexibility to move between contracts and job assignments. Low 401K matching but the percentage is fully vested at time of contribution.

Cons

Way, way too much administrative overhead with multiple, abysmal and archaic systems for reporting and management. Not Not many advancement opportunities for more senior career professionals without getting embroiled into the Lockheed Martin endless corporate bureaucracy. One of the worst 401K plans and benefits packages I have ever experienced. It is so bad that it will be one of the primary reasons I leave the company.
