Pros

Lockheed's strength is that it is the largest US government contractor. It has abundant resources, jobs, etc because it is so large. There is plenty of room for advancement or different career paths if you make your career here.

Cons

Because Lockheed is so large, there is a chance for you to feel lost and disconnected because you are just another small cog in the huge machine.

Good place to start your career... big company with well defined policies make it easy for new employees. Rewarding work, not that stressful (unless you choose to take on additional responsibilities). Fairly good work / life balance (flex time, etc).

Cons

Its a big company with a lot of Process. The process frequently gets in the way of getting work done, which can be frustrating at times if you are a 'result oriented' person

Aging workforce; huge company with associated bureaucracy; government customer often stifles innovation; LM subcontracts actual manufacturing of most products to other companies; extremely long product cycle in most areas (often 5-10 years); use of aging technologies (for Space programs)
