Pros
The relaxed atmosphere makes for a stress-free work environment. My department are really good at enabling my personal and professional development and give me total control over my work. Dynamic working is also really good although take with a pinch of salt as most of my work is classified and is required on site, that being said I feel no pressure to declare fixed hours and I am always able to work around my schedule. Everyone is really friendly, and I generally really enjoy my role.
Cons
This company should be the UKs top state of the art technology employer. In order to make that an attractive option they really need to bite the bullet and get into the 21st century. Pay is less than the industry average, the facilities are really rubbish; offices are grey and gloomy (where's the foliage and table tennis? and that's no joke those types of things make a huge difference in a compawny), chairs feel like they have been scraped together from garage sales, my request for a standing desk has been rejected multiple times on the basis that I don't have back injuries (yet!) which is just insanity. On site kitchens are the minimally equipped, milk isn't provided. It's all the small things that can really boost a day MBDA don't have. Canteen food is also pants! and also not free, which again is a big deal if you are trying to attract top talent. We should be in the same tier as Dyson, Google, Tik Tok... Christmas parties that bring the whole company together as a celebration of success these things just don't happen, and I think they are missing a real opportunity.
