Pros

Very knowledgeable staff. They coded to the highest Microsoft coding standards of any team I've ever worked on in the Seattle area. They work with leading edge technology. Most people were very friendly. Pay was market rate. Mr. Lamprecht was "Class A": Gentleman and Professional. Very thoughtful and intelligent as well.

Cons

Lots of attitudes there. Some people acted like they were the smartest and most professional people on the planet. Revolving door there at the time. More than 5 people I worked with there left the company within a year of me leaving. 3 other employees quit while I was working there. There were only about 30 people working there. Mr. Clack was a world class a-hole and was the major problem for Development teams

Pros

Good pay, generous PTO, flexible work hours and ability to work from home, tons of autonomy, lots of stretch opportunities.

Cons

The senior leadership is entirely self serving and driving the company into the ground. They claim but be committed to innovation and growing the company but are solely focused on cutting costs to drive the stock price.

Pros

Great people if you are on the right teams- mainly the few remaining groups that continued the family culture established by the Galvins' in the 1980's and 1990's, which is one of true camaraderie and accomplishment. These last few hold-outs are productive yet keep work fun. The work-life balance is also good.

Cons

The company has turned on itself. Constant headcount reductions and unclear, and often conflicting direction from upper mgmt has reduced morale to an all-time low. Manufacturing is being sold off as well as most of its property. Upper mgmt has incentives to raise the stock price regardless of long-term impact. Rumor is also CEO has a huge parachute to sell the company (which has been up for sale for years). Raises, if provided, are around 2% with benefits continuing to decline and increase in cost (more than the 2% raise). They want to attract "young talent", which is rather unlikely due to lack of raises and benefits- so it is probably just an excuse to eliminate anyone that has experience with a higher salary.
