Pros

Most co-workers are great and awesome to learn from. A variety of people and locations to work with. Great with volunteer time, company and personal.

Cons

Management flies by the seat of their pants, forget any promotions, very little advancement unless you know the right person. Human Resource avoids phone calls and usually sides with management if you have any complaints. If there weren't so much office politics/critics going on, a lot of work would get done.

Pros

They really allow you to balance work and home life, without making you feel guilty about it. Family really does come first! Reasonable expectation for learning the job. The BEST atmosphere for asking questions I've ever experienced.....you can ask and not feel silly for asking. Excellent training opportunities. Great severance package, especially in this economy!

Cons

Local satellite offices are small with limited advancement if you can't relocate. Layoffs due to asset dispositions and merger. Lots of processes and procedures, hard to actually learn them as opposed to just reading and following them.

Global company with great opportunities to learn about other countries / customs because management philosophy is to hire locals in every location. They share local market expertise and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Cons

Senior management shake-up combined with market downturn caused unprecedented instability; however, current senior management is working hard to recover from both events.
