Pros

Best reason to work here is to get a great start on your career and learn a whole lot in a short period of time. There is a great wealth of knowledge sharing and the ability to use the resources is high. I have been able to progress through the firm with a relatively good pace and gain a lot of valuable exposure to complex issues that have benefited by learning. This is a fast paced environment and there are a large number of opportunities for someone to get involved in a variety of projects. There is also possibility for someone to branch out into other areas of the business and gain exposure in a new skill.

Cons

One of the biggest down sides of working here is the lack of respect for personal work life balance. The high pressure of deadline driven business does not allow for a possibility to be flexible with your own time. As mentioned above there is lots of possibility to grow and develop but it definitely comes at a price of sacrificing personal time and work life balance. The compensation for time spent on clients is also not equivalent to the amount of hours dedicated to the firm and the sacrifices that are made for the Company. The pressure senior management puts on its staff is not always appreciated but rather demanded.

Pros

It looks good on a resume. Stick around for a few years and the 'experience' on your resume is better than anything else. You do learn a lot and you do get some great opportunities that you probably wouldn't get anyhwere else. When compared to the other Big 4 they are all the same. So much of this job is situational in nature. it all depends on what industry you are in and what clients you get put on. When you negotiate a job offer make sure you get to specify what industry you get in. many people get stuck in industries that don't interest them and they are miserable. once you get 'experience' in one industry its hard to get you to switch out.

Cons

You dont have a chance to have a personal life. You can't make plans during the evenings because you don't know when you are going home until your senior tells you you are going home. There will be months on end where you only see daylight through a conference window. Don't expect much after each annual review then you wont be disappointed when you find out how they are going to 'compensate' you. There are a lot of office politics that go into this job. Don't get started on the wrong foot because that can set the tone for your career here.
