Pros

Highly professional and respected in the field by your peers. It opens significant opportunities for movement, having working for the strongest bank.

Cons

There is not internal hiring process to speak off. A lot of time is wasted performing mundane tasks as the platforms aren't interconnected. The clients receive better services than is offered to the staff.

Pros

If you can get into a good group (not a sure-fire thing), the learning upside is much higher than at a bulge bank. I was running deals & interacting w/ senior management by my second year. Pay is typically competitive with street (with some occasional exceptions) Fun analyst culture

Cons

Normal investment banking stuff - long hours / the occasional crappy tasks.
