Pros

RBC allows flexible hours for my position because I am part of a commissioned sales force. The corporate culture is very much like an institution. Meaning work is the number one priority and socializing is not always incouraged. We have a very diverse workforce with many ethnic origins being represented. Due to the nature of our clientele this is very important. RBC also gives great benefits to it's employees. We have an excellent health and dental plan, along with a good pension and stock opition plan. The best part of all is the opportunities for promotion. With worldwide operations there is always somewhere to move up to.

Cons

One very big minus is that you cannot really take a day or two off, since you are glued to the telephone.

Pros

Good brand name. Gives exposure to complex environments. Easy to market yourself for your next job. If you are lucky you'll get a chanc to work on interesting projects.

Cons

Indecisiveness of management . It is very political like any bank I guess. In my opinion mid level management is quite competent in RBC. Sr. level management is ruthless.

Pros

RBC Bank offers a good culture to work in. The management is forthcoming and always willing to make your working conditions more suitable for you. When compared to other Banks, RBC Bank is a fairly new bank which has allowed me to grow professionally as the bank develops is prominence in the banking community. The growth has been spurred by acquistion of other banks and continually training and other neccessities needed for growth.

Cons

The downsides of working for RBC include not always being properly prepared to meet the expectations in which RBC wants its employees to achieve.
