Pros

The people are nice here and happy to help you learn about what they do.

Cons

The work environment is cramped, with many people sharing a cube with another person. Many of the business processes are dated as well along with much of the workforce. A vast majority of employees have solely worked at Raytheon their whole career and have little knowledge of new technologies, performance metrics or tool and are very hesitant to any change. This mentality is rather alarming and would make a transition to another company very difficult if one stays here for too long. They also have a tendency to several people doing jobs when only one or two people are actually needed.

Pros

Raytheon has excellent pay and benefits and makes every attempt to bring the best and brightest minds to the table. As a very large company, there are many opportunities for lateral movement (leading to terrific business knowledge and understanding) and upward mobility.

Cons

As with any large corporation, process often gets in the way of progress, and with various governments being the main customers, that adds an additional, even thicker layer of process and regulation.

Pros

Industry leaders in Program Planning and Scheduling. Light years ahead of other companies I've worked with.

Cons

Hard to penetrate the "Good old boys club culture" .
