      Best Company for Government Consulting

      Pros

      Consultant for over 16 years with 7 very different companies. SAIC is the best so far. They look out for their people and have strong ethics to do what is best for the client, not the bottom line. On the project side, this large company has outstanding checks and balances systems to ensure programs are running efficiently and managers receive attention and assistance to quickly get back on track. HR is outstanding and eagerly helps resolve any individual issues.

      Cons

      Cost of benefits is rather high especially compared to a small company that receives better rates.

      Took care of employees; assisted in finding in-company opportunities when contracts were coming to an end; lots of folks worked remotely where situation allowed

      Cons

      As with any government contractor, when your contract ended, so did employment, unless you could find another opportunity there.
