Pros

I didn't work at any SAIC facilities (client site), but they did keep us in the loop of what was going on with the company. They also provided an good yearly review that focused on building the employee up even though the employee was far away and a contractor for another client. They had a yearly family get together at an amusement park, which was really cool. They also provide a way to look at other jobs once a contract comes to a close.

Cons

You know that way I mentioned of looking at other jobs, yeah, it didn't work for me. I applied and applied away internally, with no luck. Finally I found another job. I worked there during the recession, so the raises weren't great, but I didn't totally buy that reason for not giving me as a good a raise as I totally deserved. Also, I worked with someone who had my exact same experience, exact same qualifications, doing the exact same thing, yet this person made more. Why? Probably because he was a male. But I don't disagree with how much I was paid.

Pros

The business unit I worked empowered its employees to make decisions and structure their workload as they saw fit. They encouraged innovated thinking and ideas.

Cons

Employment tied to a particular business unit and customer contract, once the customer contract was finished generally so was your employment. Almost like being a contract employee.
