Pros

Great coworkers, variety of fields available to break into

Cons

Pay is abysmal, and the management only cares about the yearly bottom line. Stay away from this company at all costs! Employees are not valued to the level they should be, and opportunities for advancement in the contracting arena are just short of nonexistent. Avoid the Operations and Intelligence business unit in particular!

Pros

Real projects that make a significant contribution in today's challenging world. Demands excellence, intelligence and teamwork. Don't see that too often.

Cons

The current situation within the government and defense related community is very challenging with a great deal of instablity for the active programs and future growth.

Pros

1. The health benefits package is fairly good 2. Some work/life balance 3. Under prior leadership had some autonomy and was treated like the experiences professional that I am

Cons

1. Have a new manager that has no management skills..very condescending and always needs my help and guidance on things this person should have mastered by now...feels like I am the manager sometime but not getting the pay or recognition. 2. Seen favoritism where certain people with skill set are passed up for pets with no skills 3. With change in upeer management work/life is becoming less flexible 4. Starting to overstep in requiring OT even when no work 5. Looks like kissing ass gets you ahead over hard work and high performance 6. Trainig on systems are non existance and if it does exists it is piece meal - you get just enough to get started then you are on your own 7. No clear career path - I have to press the issue and make my own path 8. No upward reviews - there should be a way to evaluate your manager's performance 9. Pay is in the lower 25% of the market yet being told its comparable 10. The systems are not as world class as they should be for a company this size 11. Why do I have to finance a business trip that SAIC wants me to go on, and wait to be reimbursed. They need to pay these costs upfront especially with the pay rate company has more cash than I. Why do I have to give the company a no interest loan? 12. High turnover in my department 13. No team building
