Interesting technical work , great caliber people

Pros

I have worked with some really smart people - never had a "pointy-haired boss". The company is highly ethical. I enjoy working in the government space because I feel the work is highly important. There is far less "Dead wood" than I have experienced at other large integrators. It is generally professional and fair.

Cons

Limited notion of career path or career development. Acting too much like a big company these days (slow decision-making).

In the grand scheme, probably a good place to work, but this locale had/has its share of issues.

Pros

Employer has a good compensation package. Decent at flexibility (work/life balance). Executive support staff excellent (at described location).

Cons

Favoritism was heavy. Middle management and some supervisors were among the worst I've experienced. Respect for employees (by those said supervisors) was low. Easy to become stuck in what you are doing and where you are. Opinions of employees not taken nor valued.
