Great place to start and get a lot of exposure and a clearance.

Cons

No career planning, limited educational opportunities. Managers largely from the outside, not home grown. Poor compensation. There are very few long term paths for entry level personnel, and those that do exist must be sought out by the individual. Also, salary adjustments lag far behind competitors such as Lockheed and Booz Allen Hamilton. If you want to earn a good salary at SAIC you need to leave and work in the government or for a higher paying firm and then come back.

The pay is good. Domestic Partner Benefits are also offered.

Cons

Hard to be promoted and move forward, especially if you are a scientific employee as opposed to a program/project manager.
