Pros

The leadership on all levels for my area are all very competent and friendly. The work I do is interesting, There are plenty of project and funding opportunities in my location. I have had several opportunities for a raise within my first year, and there are incentive programs within SAIC that allow for smaller one-time bonuses. The employees I interface with have all been pleasant and skilled at their job. SAIC does a lot to keep its employees engaged and involved with the company at large. Hours and work schedule are flexible and I feel like I have good work/life balance.

Cons

Compensation is lower than competitors. IT security is strict to a fault, and prevents efficient workflow with any SAIC-procured system.

Your typical defense contractor. I encountered good leadership but with a big company you are rolling the dice.

Remote work. Very flexible. They do great working with Subcontractors.

Cons

Job Security depends on your customer (Federal Bureau). As a contractor, do good work and you will stay or get put on another contract
