Pros

Above average pay and bonus, very nice facility in suburban Philly. Free company subsidized lunch every day for permanent employees.

Cons

Highly stressful and over worked environment. 50 hour weeks are the norm, sometimes more. Constant reorgs with shuffling of leadership and employee layoffs, and little or no job security. Company tends to heavily rely on contractors - 30% of workforce are contractors who get no benefits and are the first to go when expenses get tight.

Pros

All in all, a very friendly athmosphere to work in, helpful co-workers, and close contact to direct managers. Good performance feedback and almost everybody is open for suggestions for improvement, is interested in personal well-being. People are eager to learn and often do voluntarily extra hours. But there is always time for a coffee and for a chat, social-networking is very welcome. Very good options to develop your carreer throughout different areas within SAP. Company car after 4 years, good company pension scheme and social security, health initiatives, free lunch, free coffee/tea/water, discounted shares... no time recording

Cons

Unpaid extra hours, we really build bad UIs, extremely complex organizational structure and development structure - you need a year or two to get used to the bee hive of systems, transactions, roles, and responsibilities. Often too many management levels and unclear responsibilities.

Pros

Infinite opportunities to learn and grow (self-driven) Work with huge variety of fantastic companies Great to work with latest SAP products (all documentation, training courses, and customer messages available to employees) Talented co-workers

Cons

Compensation on declining trend for many years (necessary to work harder and harder to achieve status quo or slightly less) Main management motivator is to work longer/harder (while giving lip-service to work/life balance). Limited promotion opportunities for technical/architecture specialists (once at Platinum/Principal level - if not interested in pure management/overhead roles).
