Pros

Learned a lot while reporting to some amazing leaders who were empowering.

Cons

Experienced several inept managers over the time I was there. It's unfortunately possible for one single manager to end your career despite overwhelmingly positive feedback from stakeholders/ colleagues.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your many years with Sage. It’s encouraging to hear that you worked with empowering leaders and gained valuable experience during your time here. We’re sorry to learn about your experience with management consistency and, in particular, the lack of an exit interview. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, as it highlights important gaps between intended processes and lived experiences, and your comments have been shared internally for further review. We also appreciate the care you took to document your experience through LEAD. As a former colleague, we wish you every success in your career moving forward.

Pros

Salary and benefits good. Some people are good but are constantly being shifted around to other parts of the business.

Cons

Resource levels not sustainable. People constantly asked to do more with less because AI exists, but there are no tangible use cases for it incorporated into everyday processes. Now it isn’t uncommon to see people online at 10pm and later. Strategy seems to be in constant flux. One minute you’re told something is important, the next it’s at the bottom of the (long) list. Fragmented ways of working. People doing their best but no frameworks, joined up systems or processes.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that your compensation and benefits are among the aspects of your experience at Sage that you value. We also take seriously the points you raise around resourcing, ways of working, and clarity of priorities. As the business continues to evolve, we recognise that frequent change and shifting focus can be challenging, and that it’s important our people have the right support, frameworks, and realistic expectations to work sustainably. Your feedback has been noted and will help inform our ongoing efforts to continuously improve the colleague experience and enable our people to thrive. We appreciate you speaking up and encourage you to share any additional feedback internally through our Always Listening channels.
