Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to write this review. We strive to provide great benefits, a desirable working environment, and travel and advancement opportunities for all employees, so that’s great to hear that you are benefiting from this! Additionally, we will take your review into consideration and further investigate your concerns. It is our hope and understanding that our Regional Mangers and Branch Managers fully support their teams and provide continuous support. Please understand that San Francisco is a new territory for us and there is a lot of growing that we all have to go through together. However, we completely respect your concerns and would encourage you to reach out directly to our VP of HR, Gaddy Fernandez, to anonymously speak about what is mentioned above. Please call 954-874-1793. We wish you much success with Sixt in the future.

Pros

Great co-workers, nice uniforms, good hourly pay for someone in college, can work as much overtime as you want. Great cars!

Cons

Customers are very rude and it is not fair to the employees when they run out of cars which is all the time. No matter how good you are at sales, it is hard to sell when you don't even have a car to offer as an upgrade. Their sales training is great and there is a lot of pressure to reach a certain incremental revenue. But no matter how much you complain about not having cars upper management does nothing to help you. Even if you are getting screamed at management is nowhere around and doesn't want to be bothered by helping out. The other employee is right that management tells the employees to write fake reviews because they get yelled at by upper management about bad ones.

We appreciate your feedback on our Seattle branch. It’s great to hear that you have had a positive experience with your co-workers, benefited from the pay, and enjoyed the uniforms and cars. We encourage all employees to provide reviews based off of their honest opinion, whether this is through Glassdoor or our quarterly Employee Satisfaction Survey. The Employee Satisfaction Survey even offers employees the opportunity to specifically rate their manager and provide feedback so that we can improve. We hope that you as well as our current employees have taken advantage of this. At Sixt we try our very best to satisfy our customers’ demands, however, depending on seasonality we may not have the specific vehicle that our customer ordered. Our Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and HQ forecast vehicles that we will need in advance to avoid these difficult situations for our customers and employees alike. We understand that this is an inconvenience for our Rental Sales Agents. Across the industry these are occurrences that unfortunately happen. As far as your concerns with management, we put our managers through an extensive training process that is unique to the trainee. Depending on their skill level and rate of advancement we will place them into a managerial role when we are confident that they are ready to tackle a location. Please be assured that there are no managers or agents without experience or proper training. Being a startup things changes frequently with Sixt. Changes within your branch are not necessarily directly from your manager but from HQ or Regionals for the sole purpose of improving our business! Again thank you for your input. We will certainly use this information to further investigate and improve.

Pros

Decent Pay, great cars, great benefits, and room for growth within company if you out in the work.

Cons

There isn't proper staffing so you are kind of left doing multiple jobs, management doesn't really show proper incentive and motivation for employees, unstable structure because there is constant changes at headquarters. Some other locations aren't very easy to work with considering we are all supposed to be on the same team. Expect to work 6-7 days a week during season.

Thank you for taking the time to review Sixt as a current employee! It’s great that you are taking advantage of company benefits and are thinking towards opportunities for advancement. At Sixt we strive to grow our business organically and allow our internal employees to develop in the direction of their goals. Being more of a premium rental car company, Sixt focuses on hiring very polished and professional employees. Even though the hiring process may take longer, we assure you that the quality of new hires will be exceptional. Our recruiting teams’ center of attention is gaining career driven individuals that would like to grow within our organization. Depending on the market, the perfect profile can be challenging to find. We understand that being understaffed puts great pressure on current employees, but we assure you that our recruiting team is working diligently to find all locations the proper quality candidates. In regards to your work schedule, it is true that during season we may need you to work more than usual, however, your managers will ask if you would be willing and able to do overtime. We only require you to work a full time schedule of up to 40 hours a week. Finally, It concerns us that you feel management does not provide proper incentive and motivation. We realize that this is a huge factor with team moral and we encourage all of our branch managers to uplift their team! We would strongly encourage you to discuss this with your Regional Manager or call our HR department at 954-874-1793. We value you as an employee of Sixt and want you to be happy with your role and outlook. If we can help in anyway with any of the above concerns please let us know. All conversations will be kept completely anonymous.
