Pros

Great cars at low prices and they give you the flexibility to make the most money possible with no cap on commission.

Cons

Poor customer service. They claim that everything is about customer service but in reality, everything is about sales and they push you to lie in order to make money.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Sixt. As a Rental Sales Agent with us we are happy that you are benefiting from the commission and appreciate the flexibility with your hours. You will be pleased to know that in 2016 we slowed down our growth to hone in on our current locations which was very successful for us! Sixt believes in providing a 5 star experience for all of our customers and this first impression starts with our Rental Sales Agents. Across the board our agents get to know our customers and provide solutions based off of their needs. We have a zero tolerance for dishonesty and this is not what our supervisors, trainers, managers, or sales managers teach or encourage. Goals are exceeded by making positive connections and providing transparent solutions to the customer. These goals are easily obtainable by following best practices provided in corporate training. We are concerned that you feel this way and would encourage you to reach out to HR immediately so that we can investigate and provide guidance. Our VP of HR can be reached at 954-874-1793.

Pros

Flexible work schedule and uncapped commission. If you are good at sales and comfortable talking to people you can make a lot of money for what is basically an entry level position. Some Rental Sales Agents make more then the Branch managers. You will get a lot of sales experience!

Cons

Often overbooked and the cars that are advertised are not often available. Dealing with upset customers is normal and happens every day. Local people cannot use debit cards, even if they prepay. Normal for car rental companies, but it surprises a lot of people that are not used to renting cars. Commission structure penalizes you for not selling something to customers. All the Cons will also give you a lot of sales experience!

Thank you for your input! It is great to know that you are reaping the benefits of our commission structure and appreciate the valuable experience you are gaining in sales, even through difficult situations at the counter. We appreciate that you take our policies seriously and inform our customers of the proper steps to take. We will further investigate the visibility of our debit card guidelines and see if there are any improvements that can be made. All the best in your future with Sixt!
