Pros

I enjoy my job its just a shame the people aren't as well looked after in retail as in other area of the business. Great people in direct team Discount on travel Annual Insurance Recognised and trusted brand Loyal and repeat customers Great holiday products you can rely on Other incentive schemes Secure role in growing business Uniform provided (needs renewing more regularly) Educational's (subject to terms)

Cons

Low salary - give you the bottom of the scale Poor commission scheme Lack of staffing - low allowance, continuously working on two Little support or empathy from those that don't work in those circumstance's and have a customer facing role High expectations from you with little in return Regional management and up don't treat you personally or know/understand you unless your face fits, they will tell you all about themselves. They don't speak to customers or have the first clue on using the technology. Little praise Very robotic sales - scripts to read that take longer than booking the holiday Too many systems no flow Reviews too wordy - not day to day language No clear service strategy - again language is not day to day Customer feedback scores only good if scored a 9 or 10 out of 10 anything less then a 9 is poor service Too many trackers You have to be 110% flexible - in early / out late / work extra swap days off etc but no flexibility or accommodating to your life in return. little support in other business areas as they are under staffed or little knowledge. you are "empowered to solve on the spot" - another way of saying you need to deal with it.

Great opportunities

Pros

Large company with very different divisions (retail, contact centre, airline, HO and overseas) so lots of opportunity to gain experience and move around for development. Great travel opportunities and benefits.

Cons

No work life balance, high expectations for lower salary, can feel like a number as it's such a large organisation, difficult to make changes for the better.
