Experience with Target as their Executive Management Intern
Pros
This internship was one of the best experiences I had during my collegiate career. The best part about the internship was the ability to connect with internal and external stakeholders. Daily, you learned from the employees about the different work centers and you were afforded the opportunity to help manage the store as the "Leader on Duty." Being able to work with so many different people and needing to problem solve continuously made each day a new adventure. This experience was facilitated by great supervisors, especially the mentor that you are appointed to. Overall, it is a great way to gain knowledge about how a business runs and to foster your growth as a manager.
Cons
It is a rotational schedule which can be difficult to get used to. That is retail for you! I worked a shift at 7pm into the early morning as well as a shift that started at 6am into the afternoon and so on. However, if you prefer a schedule that isn't a 9 to 5, then it is a good job for you.
