Pros

Stable and great work environment. Some of the mangers are very supportive of the employee while some does the Mega Micro Management which it really hurts. But for the last 3 yrs Target has opened shop in India and slowly moving all the development work there. There are some really good people who have advanced very well in short period of time. Overall I would say it's a great place to be for the job stability and for women to work.

Cons

You have to take very active role to get promoted to the next level. It's not that you get to the next level after some years of work.

Pros

Target strives to be the best company ever, and it shows. The sense of pride and brand loyalty within Target has been unmatched in my professional career. Target spends some extra effort to recruit truly talented people, and this in turn makes for great teams.

Cons

Headquartered in Minneapolis, if you hate the cold.
