Pros

There are no limits on my position. I can grow in my position and continue to help grow our business as an engineering technician along side with managers, engineers, and other fellow TIers. The work life balance issue is stable, and it has been for years. Flexible time and hours from both me and my manager are available. Benefits and profit sharing also help with my total compensation.

Cons

The idea that the grass is always greener doesn't credit TI. We know there are other opportunities outside but look at the whole compensation and stability. About the only con, I can think of, is that there is a saying in TI: the only constant in TI is that there is always change. One day you may be supporting a new and upcoming business, and the next you are moved or assigned to support a legacy business.

Pros

Texas Instruments is a great place to work. TI provides great pay and rewards well for good performance. Great benefits too.

Cons

Compressed work hours can be long some time but is to be expected when this career path is chosen. Overall, though it is worth it.
