Pros

Hours are reasonable, no Sundays, off by 4pm on Saturdays. Easy to get to here in Chicago. Great customers! Neighborhood filled with repeat customers who are pleasant to speak with. Other local business establishments honor UPS Store discounts, as do we.

Cons

Low pay, terrible health insurance, not enough hours, no parking, parking lot is small and surrounded by residential permit parking. Not much room for advancement. Owning your own UPS Store Franchise involves many loops to jump through.

Pros

I enjoyed that I worked for a local franchise owner, meaning I got to see my boss on a regular basis and reinforce my value to the company. The location was always busy and I never felt like I was bored.

Cons

The owner rarely pulled his own weight, customer service with corporate was difficult, and the lack of rigidity with franchise rules meant I always felt like our franchise was cheating the customer.
