UL claims they offer competitive pay, but if that were the case, the turnover wouldn't be so high. - Promotions are few and far between. - Bonuses were reduced for the people who could use it most. Executives tried to pass a new pay mix as a great thing, but a simple excel spreadsheet proves this idea falls flat on its face, and frankly, it's insulting. - Top heavy: Manager on top of manager. - Too many tenured engineers are useless and not held accountable. - No clear direction. Ask 20 people what the new strategy is, and you will get 20 different answers.

* Focus only on short-term profits. * Don't care about the quality of software. * Refuse to hire people even when the data shows people are working way too much. * Zero growth with their ABC levels. * Terrible pay. * Complete disregard for mental health and mocked people who were struggling with it during the pandemic. * Went to HR about the treatment there, and the person I complained about told me they were disappointed in me. * Non-stop red tape that only stops innovation. * They encourage long hours and won't pay people anything additional when you have to be on-call for systems that won't stay up because they only understand short-term solutions.
