Pros

Job security, Adult Softlines Manager

Cons

Understaffed, zero flexibility, underpaid, no opportunity for growth (if you do happen to get promoted you will turn into an overworked salary employee), forced to cross train so that you can cover other areas, have to take on others work when vacation days are used.

Pros

The work you do serves the general public with regards to safety. There are some opportunities for travel if you want them. Annual bonus is nice.

Cons

The PTO needs to be updated for senior employees - you get the same time off after 10 years as somebody that starts today. The company seems very siloed and disconnected, and departments fight over revenue ownership. Little to no advancement opportunities (besides a title change with the same basic responsibilities). Feels as if there is very little effort taken to keep employees, and seems they'd rather replace experience with somebody younger and willing to accept lower pay.

Pros

Flex Time is great and most managers let you work from home whenever you wish and engineering almost never has to be in the office during Covid. The facilities are also great.

Cons

Workload is your workload alone and although everything requires additional signatures and reviews, older coworkers are resistant to provide assistance based on workload and weird work environment that gives engineers a "sales goal" so they do not like working on things that don't add to their bottom line. A lot of middle management rises to their positions based solely off of tenure and are not value adding members of the team.
