      Pros

      Great company with a great boss. Lots of engineers up to the management level. Will work with you for personal/family matters. Life/work balance is best I've seen from any company I've worked for.

      Cons

      Promotions are currently very very rare. Might get a bonus here and there but as for promotions it depends on the current market, department/position, company budget, economy, etc, etc. The usual excuses for not promoting you at any company. It's not because of your boss or bosses boss, it's mostly due to the highest upper most level who decides who and how much you get promoted if any.

      Pros

      During the time that I worked at UL, it offered the complete package. The benefits, perks and actual work balance were all excellent. I considered myself very fortunate to be apart of such a wonderfully diverse and growing organization.

      Cons

      Some of the main challenges that I faced while working here was using the very old and outdated Oracle system. For such a huge company I figured that a more up to date system would have been installed so that the employees could perform their jobs more effectively.

      Comfortable starting salary, thrown right into the work.

      Cons

      Little salary increase, tremendous pressure to meet goals. Little room to accept different opinions/values.
