Cons

Lacking in experienced public company leadership and talent. New technology resistant throughout the organization. HR is a group think and group look (lacks women of color) environment. Favoritism culture from the top down.

The people, working for UL prior to Jennifer Scanlon becoming CEO, the lives that UL has saved with it's Safety and Certifications of products around the world, Engineering staff.

Cons

Since UL has gone public, it is all about the stock price and enriching the board. Typical of Corporate America nowadays, they no longer care about their workers and have handed out stock options to the C-level management. Jennifer Scanlon came from the Consultant world and was also on the board of Norfolk Southern, who was responsible for the train derailment in Ohio, which ruined that entire town.

UL Solutions provides every employee access to an incentive program and now, as a public company is able to offer an Employee Stock Purchase Plan in the USA with plans to extend this benefit globally. Like most other organizations, as employees take on more responsibility and grow their career, their pay grows to incentivize their performance and acknowledge their impact. Our brand is built upon listening to and empowering our technical staff. We do annual compensation reviews to understand how our pay is aligned with the market. Thank you for sharing this feedback.

They expect you to do nothing but look at a screen for 7 hours. It's really boring and they blame you If anything bad happens.
