Pros

I don't know. I worked at UPS 25 years ago. Anything I have to contribute is absolutely outdated and irrelevant in 2023. I'm just completing this so I can look up current employer prospects as I'm looking to re-enter the workforce.

Cons

It's stupid that I can't look up companies unless I have an account, and once I make an account, I can't look at anything (including my profile) until I've left a review or some such. It's also stupid that 2019 is the oldest option I have for every former employer I tried to list.

Pros

Job security. Good honest product. GREAT operations teams.

Cons

Where can I start? First off the bat, last year the business development leadership changed the sales plan mid year because the US sales team made too much money in commission in Q2. They flat out said “your sales plan has changed due to ‘market changes due to COVD’ and took $20-30k in commission right out of the pockets of their sales force, just because they didn’t want to pay it. Meanwhile, the stock price soared. Which is great for all of leadership. So much that they flaunted it on our annual sales call making a HORRIBLE rap video saying “we are UPS, YOU are UPS!” with the executives RAPPING being THRILLED with how well their stock is doing. Meanwhile they are presenting their happiness and stock wealth to a group of people who saw a 10% job cut, slashed commissions and demoted my manager. Needless to say, I GLADLY left UPS business development and doubled my salary as a Product Manager. UPS as a company is solid. Their operations are run by an INCREDIBLE group of men and women that deserve every dollar they make and more. UPS business development and executive leadership can suck a fart. I am so happy I left, I would never suggest anyone to be an Account Executive unless you really need $60k base salary and absolutely no control over your commission, and love spending 75% of your day being yelled at by customers because the general customer service line is hysterically broken.

Pros

UPS is a strong, stable company that isn’t going anywhere. You get the opportunity to learn a broad array of positions of your career and many of the people are great to work with.

Cons

They seem to think no one will leave and treat you that way. No flexibility in my work group for work-from-home, many directors micromanage but also only care about developing their own careers rather than their people.
