      Pros

      Great retirement package after only 20 years. Incredible sense of pride in knowing what you do matters. Ability to develop unmatched leadership skills. Career path is clearly laid out for those wanting to move forward.

      Cons

      Family will suffer, there is no good balance available to a Soldier. Education benefits are not as abundant or easy to use as is advertised.

      Pros

      A great place to get leadership experience and training. You won't find the same challenges anywhere else in the world.

      Cons

      Deployments are long and taxing. The most pressing concern I have is with the political correctness that has infiltrated our doctrine to the point where soldiers are literally dying as a result. It's the only reason I am choosing to leave.
