Pros

The best reason to work here is that there is no other place to do this kind of work. You have the opportunity to do incredible and challenging things that can get your adrenaline pumping. To do the job well you must be an intelligent highly motivated person with good leadership abilities.

Cons

There is an incredible amount of time wasted preparing powerpoint presentations that do not have an impact on training mission accomplishment.

Pros

You get to shoot big guns, drive huge trucks, and play with some of the most advanced technology in the world.

Cons

Promotion is not based on merit often times. The vaction time is deceptive. The healthcare is sub par. Higher management does not care about anything but getting to the next rank.

Pros

pride in serving your country. A large amount of responsibility and leardership experience at a young age. Experience that you will be able to reach back to for a life time.

Cons

promotion system is based off of time in service, not ability. A large amount of senior leadership is power oriented, not focused on development and mentoring of subordinates.
