      You get out of it what you put into it

      Pros

      Medical / Dental, 100% tuition paid, travel, great pension plan, overall you will get out of the Army what you put into it

      Cons

      Time away from family, long hours, and you can get punished for things that civilians can't such as adultry, as a Soldier you can lose pay, rank or get kick out, if you worked at walmart or georgia pacific they would never prosecute you for that type of behaivior off duty

      Pros

      The Army has good medical insurance but the dental and vision is not free, only the cleanings are free and the vision test is free. The best thing about the Army is when you get out it gives you that expirence you can't recieve in college or high school, there are many benefits for veterans when they get out.

      Cons

      The are to many uneducated people in the NCO ranks who know nothing about people and how to lead (not all but many)
