Great company overall, but experiencing pains of growing so quickly

Pros

Great benefits, salary, and alot of smart people.

Cons

They grew so big so fast and they did not grow their back office operations with them. Management is very slow to make decisions and often changes their mind, which causes tons of back and forth and extra work for their teams below them.

Pros

IPO stock options given were very generous. There were a lot of good people at the company who really believed in the products and culture. They had a shuttle bus service and free meals for a while, but all of that ended.

Cons

Subsequent stock offerings were laughable. compared to management compensation. Time-off policy was good, but manager would black out the majority of the year, preventing me from taking time off (subsequently, I found out this was illegal). Advancements in your career are considered lateral moves by management, and although you are taking on much larger workloads, your pay does not increase. I actually had a manager say "Be happy you have a job." Wow, that is encouraging! Management was extremely top heavy, with not enough staff to handle the day-to-day business needs.
