      Pros

      VMware is a leader in one of the most promising domains in the enterprise space. It has one of the best brands around.

      Cons

      The engineering managers are very bad at planning. Most products, other than the flagship ones, do not have a plan. With acquisitions happening all the time, there is tremendous pressure on all the teams to prove themselves. This translated in to very bad work life balance for the team members executing. The compensation does not match the efforts put in, and that does not help in any way.

      Pros

      - Great Salary Packaging - Good Employee benefits - Nice offices and classy "meetings" - Social outings are quite high-end - If you are in Sales would be excellent for you

      Cons

      - The Company is very TOP heavy, where there are too many heads or managers than there are lower management / employees - The managers all seem to look after themselves and each other more than the lower management side to the point of under resourcing - The "Boys-club" environment is prevelant within the company providing a some-what intimidating feel within the office. ie ITS NOT WHAT YOU KNOW, ITS WHO YOU KNOW - They really work you to "the bone" and will not provide any recognition of work done. - Very sales centric and focused, with support and admin being very much undervalued - If you are in support, it would be a nightmare for you
