Pros

Great teamwork, atmosphere and you actively want to achieve to keep up. There is a lot of room to grow at any level, and we prefer promoting insiders into leadership. All that's needed is the drive to succeed and your hard work - guarantee you will get proper recognition.

Cons

Can't really think of any! Work - life balance is great as you make it, with so many employees it's quite easy to find and meet folks that are into the same things.

Pros

-Friendly, nurturing culture -Fun environment for 20/30-somethings -People who perform well often get promoted

Cons

-Messy, buggy codebase -Company stingy about investing in new technology/equipment -Culture of getting things done quickly even if they are partially broken -Becoming increasingly corporate, with BS meetings and superficial productivity metrics that encourage quantity over quality -Pay below market average -Work-life balance not always great for engineers, depending on team. Sometimes engineers have to work late into the night or be on-call during weekends -Supposedly transparency is a core value of the company, but many important decisions are made behind closed doors -Employees and managers vary greatly with respect to engineering ability and communication skills -Not an exciting company to work for in terms of its mission (selling furniture, and beating out local Mom & Pop furniture stores)

Pros

center of Boston, good view

Cons

I have seen some posts pointed out that this company fired people occasionally, this is true. And the mystery is the CEO sometimes has meeting with managers, then tells them " We hire a lot of people recently, so your each team should fire some people". That's why they fire a lot and hire a lot at the same time. This management is really terrible. On the other side, the pay is very low and the work is boring.
