Pros

The organization is a great company to work for, and I would recommend working here to anyone. They do offer a goo work/life balance.

Cons

There is not much opportunity for growth and development. They did not seem to embrace change well, and management communication was difficult.

Pros

Managers provided many opportunities to staff for small advancements and chances to take on increasing responsibility. A lot can be learned about publishing from working at such a large company. Also, the work-life balance was great: I was never expected to work evenings or weekends.

Cons

It's a problem in most of publishing, but editorial salaries were low as compared with many other industries. It could have taken 10 years to achieve a significantly higher paying position, and I wasn't allowed to work overtime.
