      Honestly, I'd rather work at In-N-Out

      Pros

      The only good thing about this place was free catered lunch on Fridays. I would say the free snacks in the kitchen were a plus, but most of the time they were either really crappy snacks or the cabinets were empty.

      Cons

      Either you work for the internet domain company XYZ or the lead generation company IT Media, but you are screwed whichever way you go. You will be massively underpaid. You will be treated unfairly. You will be controlled. You will be pigeonholed. Every single manager has a tendency to give you meaningless responsibilities that result in you being stuck either in front of an excel sheet or making phone calls all day everyday. If it's your lucky day, you'll get to do both. There is nothing this place can do for you professionally. Your potential will be squandered and you will be wasting your time. This is the absolute truth. Don't let the facade fool you.

      Thank you for offering your feedback. As you know, we’re a young company that is constantly learning and striving to create a best-in-class workplace environment for everyone. I’m glad you enjoyed the open kitchen. Those snacks do seem to fly off the shelves, so we’ll try to replenish them more frequently. You mentioned that we massively underpay our employees. Based on market surveys, we are paying above industry averages across the board. Having said that, our aim isn’t to be above average; our aim is to be excellent. We will continue to shape our comprehensive compensation to be best-in-class. We do want to apologize that you didn’t find us to be the place to maximize your potential. Perhaps your feedback, both positive and negative, will help us become that much better in the years to come.

      Start-up vibe, youthful culture, free snacks & Friday lunches

      Cons

      They hire smart people with little experience to exploit and underpay them, few opportunities to learn or grow, poorly managed at the top, depressingly low employee morale that permeates every facet of the company

You’re absolutely right that we have an insatiable appetite for smart people. This company was built on opportunities being given to people with drive and intelligence, so we don’t intend on slowing down on that at any point. We also find it quite a compliment that you mention we “have an eye for smart, talented employees.” We do pride ourselves on that. We also pride ourselves on giving those very people a chance to learn, develop, and grow their entrepreneurial spirit. So I’m not sure what you mean by pigeonholing anyone since cross-training and exploration of new ideas are regularly encouraged and rewarded.
