So many... leadership are horrible. Calendars are unforgiving. Cross-functional teamwork is always a tangled mess of egos trying to steer one another off the road, so to speak. They market themselves as inclusive, but take my word for it, if you don't abide by their culture of putting up and shutting up, you will quickly be targeted and treated unfairly — but just enough that they continue to get away with it. Even HR is not on your side here. If you try to protect yourself by reaching out to HR, you will inevitably give them ammunition on account of "not being a team player." Just be careful, really.
