Pros

So far, most people seem happy while they're working at eBay. Compared to other high tech companies I've worked at, employees seem more relaxed yet just as productive.

Cons

I'm a contractor so I don' t feel the same attachment as I would as a FTE. I also am not privy to management decision making and staff meetings, so I am left out of the loop sometimes.

Pros

Great projects to work on, with tons of users and lots of strategy behind what is built. ROI drives everything. You also get to work with great people who really know what they're doing. Usually, people are nice and helpful. As with most places, there is the occasional jerk or sycophant but overall, the people are great. Benefits are also on par with most large companies in teh bay area. maybe a little low, but not much. I'd prefer working at eBay over Google for sure.

Cons

Too much work, too much expected of employees, not enough recognition given for the right things - probably the same at most large companies

Pros

This is one the best place to work for. This is one of those places where you feel that the work you do really affects the world. th feed back from the community on any product the company launches is quick, ruthless and honest. This gives me satisfaction and acts as a barometer to test where the company is going. You have the independence to chose how and what you want to work for. The company provides adequate training if you ever wish to try a different role. It has good benefits. The management is really understanding and they are willing to work out whats the best for both you and the company.

Cons

Not many I would say. Sometimes, only sometimes we are late to the game. I think with the new changes around the company, this is not at all a problem any more.
