Pros

An undeniable fantastic brand, awesome product, exciting NPD. Family owned. Good work life balance. Great bonus structure.

Cons

The company has a flat structure which definetly has its benefits but also limits development opportunities. Really difficult to move internally, they advertise a lot of specialist roles and recruit externally for them, claim their external hires are "in line with industry benchmark", but since when was the industry the benchmark? as one of the most reputable companies in the world I'd expect better than that, and for a bit more focus to go into the retention and development of talent. Really disappointing. The company lacks diversity. Benefits are not competitive. Offices are dull yet they expect us to spend 3 days a week there which is mandatory and being tracked in some locales, which is shocking in itself. They don't trust their workforce to do what's best for them and their personal circumstances despite inflation and the cost of living hikes. I loved this organisation when I joined but it doesn't feel like what it once was.

Pros

Good work life balance, good compensation including excellent bonus scheme. Friendly people culture.

Cons

Very disappointing and narrow minded hybrid working scheme of 3 days in the office. CPO has not recognised or provided solutions and flexibility for sky-high cost of living in and around London. Blatant hypocrisy in having a reduced travel policy whilst forcing employees into office 3 days a week. Total disregard for diversity of learning types, such neurodivergent people, who may be more productive and comfortable at home more often. The communication of the policy has left a strong, tangible feeling of mistrust from the top-down and caused many employees to reevaluate their employment which will impact company negatively. Blatant discrepancy between London and Billund in incentives to come into the office - E.g lack of facilities in london, no discount on travelling which is proving unaffordable for many, particularly those forced to live further from london due to cost of living.

Pros

- Free Lego and discounts - Good benefits - Relaxed environment

Cons

- Salaries are crap compared to the current market rate - Bonus is big but it might not be there at the end of the year and it's 25% of your income - They recently starting enforcing 3 days a week working from the office that is absolutely crap and 90% of the people are not ok with it. They dont care about the feedbacks provided. They are happy to replace the people that do not accept the new terms. - The pace is so slow sometimes you have nothing to do and can be very boring - Getting a promotion is almost impossible. They release a few slots a year and you have to apply and go through the interview process to have a promotion. Other than that it's impossible to get promoted because you are good at what your are doing. - 3% pay raise a year with inflation at 11%, not great. - The amount of meetings you have to deal with on daily basis it's absolutely ridiculous - You are not allowed to work from another country AT ALL. Doesnt matter if you have family abroad you have to use all your vacations days to see them. In 2023 it's ridicolous. - The Lego office in London is really not great to be such a big company. Only free coffee in a small cafeteria. Other than that it's just desks and meeting rooms. Lego sets around the office doesnt make the office more enjoyable.
